Do you have a picture of your first bag here on dA?
Good for starting out And that leather is one of my favorite chrome tanned ones to use.
The shape of the front flap and pocket placement add a nice look to the bag. To get a sharper bend on the flap you can hammer the leather to crease it where it bends over the front. Also, I will mention that while whip stitching around the seams on the bag and pockets looks neat, it will give you problems in the future. Since the threads are directly exposed on the outside of the bag, they can get worn off easily and then your bag will start falling apart. Whip stitching around the edges like that is more appropriate for leather lace or sinew, something that can take more abuse
Also, I can't quite tell how you made your pockets, but some simple pattern making can make a 2-4 piece pocket turn into a one piece pocket where you just have seams at the bottom corners. Also, I definitely recommend removing seams as much as you can, instead of having the body made out of 5 pieces, it can be 3 (either a front, back and side/bottom/side panel, or a left, right and front/bottom/back panel). Definitely saves in construction time and there's also a better chance of upcycling the bag at the end of its usable life if it's made out of larger chunks.
I see you got rivets on the bottom corners of the pockets, you can also do that on the bottom corners of the main seams as well to keep them from falling apart.
Lastly, I will mention that you made the right decision by making the shoulder strap out of vegetable tanned leather, because chrome tanned (even latigo) will stretch out over time more then veg. However, you could do it out of chrome tanned leather if you did two layers and then glue a stable material on the inside, like webbing or waste band stiffener like what's in dress pants. You can also just do a layer of veg tanned on the back side and then chrome tanned on the top side so that the strap sill looks the same when worn. Either way I would glue the straps together and then stitch them using the same stitch you're using on the bag your making.

Keep it up!
